80-Hour Hazardous Materials Technician Course

Our technician course is designed to familiarize the student with the variety of situations involving hazardous materials in which the responder may encounter including railcars, highway vehicles and small packages. This course covers awareness, operations and technician levels.

40-Hour Hazardous Materials Technician Course

3-Day Hazardous Materials Incident Commander

This 24-hour Hazardous Materials Incident Commander course is based on the OSHA training standards of On-Scene Incident Commander (contained in 29 CFR 1910.120(q)(6)(v) and National Incident Management System (NIMS). The course is designed for personnel that may or will be called upon to fulfill any of the roles in the incident command system or responsible for the implementation of the Incident Command System.

Highway Emergency Response Specialist

This 32-hour advanced course focuses on emergency response techniques to cargo tanks, intermodal tank containers and dry vans transporting hazardous materials. Design and construction of MC 300 series and the DOT 400 series cargo tanks are covered as well as intermodal tanks.

16 Hour Cargo Tank Workshop

This 16-hour course focuses on emergency response techniques to cargo tanks, intermodal tank containers and dry vans transporting hazardous materials. Design and construction of MC 300 series and the DOT 400 series cargo tanks are covered as well as intermodal tanks.

First Responder Awareness Training

This course is designed for first responders at the awareness level. Individuals who are likely to witness or discover a hazardous substance release and who have been trained to initiate an emergency response sequence by notifying the proper authorities of the release. They would take no further action beyond notifying the authorities of the release.

24 Hour Hazardous Materials Operations Course

This course is designed for individuals who respond to releases or potential releases of hazardous substances as part of the initial response to the incident for protecting nearby persons, property, or the environment from the effects of the release. They are trained to respond in a defensive fashion without actually trying to stop the release.

Intermodal Specialist

This 24-hour advanced course will focus on intermodal container design and construction, modes of transportation, valve repair, damage assessment, transfer operation and response methodology. Students will be taught to recognize and identify the different types of intermodal tanks, as well as assess damage to the containers. Product removal techniques, including transferring products from damaged containers, and flaring flammable gases will also be taught.
